Meet the Instructor
Welcome to Next Chapter Literacy Solutions! My name is Lindsey, and I’m so glad you’re here.
Literacy education is truly my passion. With a Master’s degree in Birth–12 Literacy Education and over 10 years of experience supporting students who struggle with reading and writing, I’m here to guide your child with care, patience, and proven strategies.
Most of my time as an educator has been spent as a literacy specialist and a middle school ELA teacher in public schools, where I’ve had the privilege of working with students across grade levels and from diverse backgrounds. I’ve supported children with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, and other learning needs. I’ve seen firsthand that every child can grow as a reader and writer when given the right support. That’s why my teaching is grounded in structured literacy—using targeted, research-based approaches that truly make a difference.
There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a child’s confidence grow. This is why I partner closely with parents and educators to better understand each child’s unique learning style, and why I share practical, supportive strategies you can use at home or in the classroom to help your child continue to thrive. My goal is to find an approach that makes reading feel more accessible and less overwhelming—so it becomes something they can tackle with confidence rather than fear!
During our hour-long sessions, I focus on the skills your child needs most. In the first few sessions, I complete informal assessments to understand your child’s strengths and areas for growth in word recognition and language comprehension. From there, I create structured, targeted lessons that meet your child where they are and help them build confidence and skills step by step. Data is collected during each session, so you’ll always be able to see your child’s progress over time.
Intervention, Tutoring, & Coaching
Does your child struggle with attention, organization, motivation, stress management, or maybe all of the above? I can help. In our one hour sessions, we will work on finding and implementing the strategies that will work best for your child to thrive and grow, no matter the challenge.
Getting ideas down in writing in a clear and thoughtful way is one of the challenges many students face. In our hour-long sessions, I guide students through each step of the writing process—from brainstorming and drafting to revising and editing. The strategies I teach are designed to build confidence and serve students well beyond our sessions, helping to reduce the intimidation often associated with writing. I also provide honest, constructive feedback to ensure students are effectively communicating their ideas, along with targeted guidance for continued growth.

Client Reviews
“We feel incredibly fortunate that our son has worked with Lindsey. She has taken the time to truly get to know him, listen to his concerns, and support our family every step of the way. Over the past few years, her expertise, patience, and dedication have played a significant role in his growth and confidence.
Lindsey is knowledgeable, professional, and always willing to discuss assessments, progress, and next steps. As a teacher myself, I highly recommend her and am grateful for the positive impact she has had on our son.”
— Rachel V.“Working with Lindsey at Next Chapter Literacy Solutions has been life-changing for my eight-year-old son. He struggled with confidence and simply could not learn to read. He was frustrated and emotional, and he lacked motivation. After he received a diagnosis of dyslexia, I felt helpless, but his doctor suggested working with Lindsey to re-teach the foundations of literacy in a new way. Lindsey was extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly what my son needed. She was fully equipped to meet him where he was, break through some of his mental barriers, and help him develop the self-confidence to learn. She had patience when he was struggling and offered positive encouragement to keep him going. Sure enough, over time, my son's sessions became easier and his skills developed quickly.
Lindsey's specialized knowledge, patience, and approach helped build the foundational skills that my son should have learned in Kindergarten and first grade. What was once overwhelming and worrisome became second nature, and his skills improved dramatically.
After working with Lindsey, our son achieved his goal and is now reading grade-level books with high levels of comprehension. His progress has been remarkable. He is less emotional and more confident because of his work with Lindsey.
I am forever grateful we found Lindsey. If you are seeking support for a child with reading challenges or dyslexia, I highly recommend working with Lindsey at Next Chapter Literacy Solutions. You will not regret it.”
